About us

The Nicoll family have been farming at Newton of Fothringham since 1966 when they moved from Huntingfaulds Farm at Tealing, which lies a few miles away, towards Dundee. They have a mixed enterprise running a beef herd and growing cereals.

Graeme and Louise Nicoll moved into the farmhouse at Newton of Fothringham In April 2001 when Graeme's parents retired.

After the birth of twins, Scott & Iona, very prematurely in 2002, Louise took a career break to concentrate on her new family and to help on the farm. During this time she also helped her parents with their established bed and breakfast business in the local town of Forfar.

Keeping it in the family, we started our own bed and breakfast business in the Spring of 2007 after the opportunity to take a few guests transpired the previous year, when my parents were full.

We have enjoyed a fantastic 4 years, meeting lots of diverse people from all over the world and look forward to meeting you when you visit.

You are assured of a warm welcome, clean, comfortable accommodation and a hearty Scottish breakfast.
